Well, tent actually…… but that’s gonna be our house on the trip so we want to make sure it’s the right tent (we learned that at the last HUBB meeting when it just rained straight into the tent we had then). I know that in many countries accommodation is very cheap and (wild) camping may not be accepted. But in the name of saving cash we want to camp and “home-cook” wherever we can.
So the tent finally arrived and we had to check it out π Managed to get the Vango Chinook 300 in the sale π
– geodesic so will be able to withstand wind quite well
– waterproof up to 5000
– small and light
– 2 entrances with outside space in each
The theoretical list of why it’s supposedly great goes on. We won’t be able to go camping for a while but at least we can check out the size and whether the space feels usable (especially since the outside spaces aren’t too big).
So… the livingroom will surely be big enough to put the tent up? After all we don’t want to get it scratched or dirty in case it’s not right and we have to return it…
There must be enough space in the living room to put it up…. right?
Ok, maybe not enough space!
Nope, the living room is NOT big enough, so outside to the drive we go:
