The Alps and Italy 23/02/2014 · by Aidan · in Europe Galleries, Galleries. · Camping in Southern Germany The next morning was cooooold! Turning a hunter’s hide into a makeshift kitchen Of course checking the bed for bumps before retiring for beer and chocolate So we packed up and headed for Neuswanstein castle Icebear got all excited about the castles and wanted to free his frog princess 😉 Spotted it on the mountainside Then retired to the (usually vehicle-free) hippy village of Fusen for an organic crepe made camp in the shadow of the alps a room with a view success!! Apparently it gets a bit chilly overnight near the alps… not living up to name, icebear hated the cold, and he was eager to go… he strapped himself in before we’d even finished our coffee! now for a day’s worth of amazing riding and amazing scenery everything’s starting to look a bit swiss… ummm….. that way? nope; road’s snowed over umm…. what do you reckon icebear? that way! first stop in switzerland we get expensive coffee, accordions and grannies singing hanging out in Milan checking out the artist’s quarter Then beers in the sun icecream from the best place in Milan Mimosa for Womens Day Then a cocktail Icebear overdid it a tad …. got sick…. … and passed out drunk-calling people just move the No-Parking sign one space along 😉 The bikes get some much needed love Taking the pit-bikes out for a track day Watching Mattia – the pro – at work and an Amaro to finish it all off 🙂 Back on the road and back in the tent The puddles werent agreeing with icebear whoops… um… upright, but facing the wrong way and she’s out! a celebratory beer and some strange looks Waking up surrounded by sheep Laundry time! Riding round the heel of Italy, considering a bacon sandwich… …or maybe a steak Puglia’s distinctive houses Leaving the town behind and heading for Greece Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...
